Sea view luxury caravan♡

We enjoyed Filey but we're disappointed with where we chose to stay.

The location of the property was good for the views and distance to the onsight facilities.

− The accommodation had a musty smell about it and the carpet in the main bedroom was wet as if it had been recently shampooed. There was also a puddle of water on the bathroom floor. I know that there was a contact number for the cleaners to contact within 24 hours but with the exception of the water on the bathroom floor it would have been impossible to rectify the other problems. The bedroom carpet was still damp upon our departure.

We were very disappointed with our stay. For over £220 per night, this was not a luxury caravan

The caravan had a lovely seaview,

− We booked this caravan as a special treat to celebrate our anniversary, paying over £220 per night, because it was advertised as a "Luxury" caravan. Sadly it fell well below the standard we expected and was very disappointing. The caravan was very tired and clearly in need of maintenance, the front door had a noticeable gap at the top, allowing cold wind to blow into the caravan. There where no shelving in the door of the fridge, the cooker hood light didnt work, the airfryer was faulty and the grill couldnt be used because the controller button was broken. To make matters worse the mattres cover in the master bedroom was stained and dirty, which was unacceptable in accommodation marked as "luxury". Another disappointment was a lack of supply, only one toilet roll in the masters bedroom and none in the main toilet. For accommodation charging over £220 a night, this is simply not good enough, so I would bring your own. It about 10mins walk to the beach, however the route includes a very steep hill, which could make it difficult for anyone with mobility issues or disabilities. Overall we left feeling let down, we had chosen this caravan to celebrate a special anniversary and expected the high standard promised by the 'luxury" description. Instead we found a caravan with several maintenance issues, signs of poor upkeep and lack in detail. In our opinion it was no where near worth the price we paid, and we would not recommend or return, unless significant improvements are made.

Super location on the site, with a sea view, there is also access nearby to a pleasant walk down to the beach. The caravan also has a nice outside terrace to take advantage of the sea view. The owners were quick to answer any questions. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, very relaxing indeed.

− I don't have any negative comments of a constructive nature, I would book another stay without hesitation.
