We absolutely loved our stay at Villa Lingwella. The view is something really special – looking out over the greenery with Sigiriya Rock Fortress in the distance was just incredible, especially in the mornings. It’s such a peaceful, quiet place and felt like a proper escape. We spent a lot of time just relaxing and enjoying the surroundings, which was exactly what we were hoping for. The food was a real highlight for us. Both breakfast and dinner were consistently delicious, and it felt like a real treat not having to think about meals at all. Overall, it was such a relaxing, enjoyable stay and felt a bit luxurious without being over the top. We’d definitely recommend it to families or small groups looking to switch off and spend time somewhere calm and beautiful

The location was amazing and the view was unbelievable. Couldn’t fault the property itself at all would highly recommend. Our host Kumaar was amazing and really made our stay as comfortable as he could. The food here was incredible! Best in Sigiriya I would have all my meals here!

− Only challenge was the senior management. We’d woken up for sunrise hike with a taxi organised by the manager and waited 40mins and no taxi arrived. This really messed with our day plans and left us exhausted for no reason which was a shame. Simple ask that couldn’t be met was a shame.

Relaxing place, nice staff

The villa is isolated in the middle of the countryside, in a quiet area. The whole villa is well maintained, well equiped and very clean. The swimming pool is clean and a nice addition. The view on the surroundings is great. The staff was very friendly and efficient. Breakfast was very good. We used the cooking services to have dinner at the villa (extra cost) and were happy with the meals. This villa is a very nice family or small group option for those who want to enjoy sigiriya area with a different solution than usual hotels

− As the villa is isolated, you will need a car to have lunch or dinner outside if you dont want to use the villa meal option. On the saturday night, there was a kind of rave party (music and light) the other side of the lake, few km away. It was far and not too noisy, but still audible and weird in such a remote place.

The people are so good. The place is amazing but we will return for sure because of the lovely Yoges and the cute lady that cooked for us. There are so many beautiful places in the world but not full of good persons so we can’t wait to see them again. Thank u so much guys,greetings from 🇮🇹

Beautifully located away from the hustle and bustle. Great place to feel at one with nature and surroundings. Local Villa cook is really friendly and will make your stay very pleasant Pool is such a big plus too

The villa was perfect, stunning scenery was so beautiful and quiet with amazing views. Bedrooms and en-suites were spacious and clean. Great value for money, staff were lovely and friendly.
