Lo staff super gentile e accogliente (ci hanno offerto anche una focaccia del forno di fronte per il viaggio del ritorno). Stanza pulita e nel centro del paese con parcheggio vicinissimo e gratuito.

I proprietari sono disponibilissimi e gentilissimi. Ci hanno dato un sacco di indicazioni utili per esplorare i dintorni. Hanno una panetteria proprio di fronte alla struttura, con un sacco di prelibatezze. Parcheggio comodissimo a due passi.

Great stay in Perino

This is an adorable room in the middle of Perino. My fiancée and I stopped here for a night while bicycling the country. The staff is amazing and very helpful. The room is nice and clean.

Quietude and friendliness in a small village

Perino is a small, workaday village not far from the banks of the Trebia river and easily accessed from the main Piacenza to Genoa road. A walk around it revealed the several bar/restaurants, one of which (Val Perino) we dined in and found great service and food. We also encountered one of the village's "characters", Enzo, who parades in semi-military garb with a few New York insignia. As New York is The Big Apple, so Perino is the Little Pear apparently. The rooms at Il Hamingway have been fitted out with the best furnishings and fittings and the work on repointing the vaulted brick/stone ceilings was impressive. The proprietors - 3+ generations of the Zannatoni family - also run a bakery-deli across the road and were extremely helpful and friendly. With Bobbio and Rivergaro within easy reach, Il Hamingway makes an ideal, quiet centre to explore from.
