3.0The landlord was very helpful as their was no back door key so it was left unlocked and there was not enough cutlery, they dealt with both very quickly.
− It absolutely stinks of an old cigarette smell, like someone smoked 100 a day for about 20 years. The upstairs beds are extremely uncomfortable and very noisy, we slept on top of the duvet with blankets to help take the edge off the painful mattress. I planned on cooking however the pots were very dirty even after washing them they were still disgusting.

5.0The communication from the owners was swift, friendly and professional. The location was good for my needs but it is about 25m walk from the city centre for those looking for that. The upstairs bedrooms are nice but the stairs leading up to them are incredibly steep. The kitchen is well equipped but very tiny.
− Unfortunately, the house is in need of lots of repair and cleaning. The sofas are tiny and uncomfortable and the seats were slashed. The downstairs bedroom looks out to the street so can be a bit noisy, but that's less of a problem than the bed which creaks very badly. The bathroom is mouldy (both the tiles and the shower screen), and the sink would hardly drain. The radiator is about 5cm from the toilet which is rather awkward and it is also all rusted. The hand towel had different marks on it. There are water marks on the living room wall and all the ceilings. At one place the ceiling is almost coming down. The instant coffee that was provided must have been in the canister for a long while as its all crystallised and stuck together. There was no kitchen foil or kitchen paper. The TV wasn't much use as it couldn't be tuned and it wasn't logged in to any streaming platforms. Overall it was a good last minute find and good comms from the owners, but the place was really not at a good standard.
