The hotel was really homey,that’s what I loved about it,a lot of nature,flowers and its cozy,the location was also great! Really close to all the amazing places in the Gambia

This is a peaceful, luxury resort famously known for its massive, tranquil tropical gardens. It is quite a serene, relaxing atmosphere. The vibe is peaceful, quiet, and elegant with beautiful manicured greenery. Overall you get it for the price you pay. There are better options in Senegambia area.

− The resort is quite dated and in need of maintenance. Aircon took a long time to cool down the room. The pool was closed by 6pm. Then at check in I wasn’t told that I need to bring my own towel to the pool, the pool guy didn’t want to give me at first but after that he did. Room wifi wasn’t working.

the hotel have good location in touristic area near main road and many bars, restaurant and facilities, nice garden and the private beach

− The room was absolutely disgusting, with a very strong smell of smoke that hadn't gone away even after three days. The bedside tables were burned, the windows didn't close properly, the TV only received five channels. The breakfast wasn't a buffet, but a very expensive à la carte option. The prices for food in the garden were excessive. The room charge was unpleasant. Upon arrival, I said I'd pay, but they told me to pay at the end. Then, on the second day, they blocked my key. On the fourth day, I changed hotels. Never again.

The HOT WATER & the daily supply of water!!

− Breakfast should be included in the room price. Food was pricey at the establishment. Mosquitoes getting in the room maybe more from housekeeper upon cleaning. We always rushed in the room!

There is nothing to like about the facility apart from its location

− I did not like anything about this hotel. I had stayed at this hotel before, but this time everything seemed to have completely changed for the worse. The attitude of the staff, the quality of service, and many other things felt like they had turned 180 degrees in the opposite direction. I had a terrible experience and regret every moment I spent there. I booked a room specifically because it had a bathtub, but the room I was given did not have one and it smelled terrible. The upgrade fee shown on Booking was $5.71 per day, but they asked me for €10 for the upgrade. Since I was extremely tired during check-in, I did not argue about it. I paid a total of $140 for two nights, with one night booked through Booking and the second night directly through the hotel. I clearly informed them that I would leave the hotel at 22:00 on the second day, but my female friend would continue staying until the official check-out time. During the day, I ordered a beer at the pool bar. Twice, they brought me bottles surrounded by broken glass pieces. When I reported this serious safety issue, instead of apologizing, the staff almost made me feel guilty for pointing out that the bottles had broken glass around them. Later, when I opened the face towel in my room, I found that it was extremely dirty. However, the worst experience happened during check-out. The receptionist named Lamin (who was also present during my check-in) claimed that I had not purchased two nights, but only one night plus a late check-out. He also told me that my female friend, who was supposed to stay after me, had to check out as well. When I tried to explain the situation, Lamin accused me of not understanding English. This was extremely disrespectful and humiliating. At that moment, I was so angry and frustrated because of his attitude and the way he treated me that I found it extremely difficult to control my emotions.
