A little piece of God's country

7.0

We like the location. It was nice to visit Jean lake which was only a few minutes away. The winery on the property was convenient. And quite delicious. The weather was nice. We could even have a little fire outside.

The only thing I didn't really care for was the shower head in the secondary bathroom. It's too high you can't adjust it and it shoots to the wall. It's a little tough to get a shower. Fortunately we are early risers. But if you're not the roosters will make you one. LOL.

Great cottage in the woods!

Cottage was clean, updated and extremely close to Rickett's Glen State Park which was our destination for the weekend. Hosts were extremely hospitable!

The window AC unit in the primary bedroom is very loud.

What a treasure!

The location is wonderful! Whether you like to hike, go antiquing, enjoy the lake and waterfalls, go to restaurants, or just enjoy a beautiful natural setting with lovely alpacas and chickens walking around you can't beat this place! It is immaculately clean! Both of the queen beds have nice firm mattresses! Also the linens and towels seem to be washed with unscented detergent! For those of us who are sensitive, it was a very pleasant surprise! The kitchen is well stocked and the layout is just lovely! The fire pit is close proximity to the house but far enough away but you are in the woods and enjoying some of the 32 acres! Lovely little shop that sells alpaca knit items as well as local soaps and a few other things also a winery on site! This is a real Gem and a lovely place to stay!

Nothing. Everything was wonderful!

I am happy to find this peaceful and family-oriented place. One of my favorite places.

The property is in the middle of the wood and has farm animals that provides serene and family-oriented environment. The owner, Pat and Elaine have alpacas, Free-range chickens and ducks in the farm. The cottage is lovely & super clean (impressively has no dust behind TV) and includes amenities such as high-speed wifi, smart TV with Prime, laundry machines, pots & pans, and kitchen utensils. Here are some stuffs provides during stay: Free-range eggs from the farm and ground & K-cup coffee. Moreover, both owners has two stores in the property. Elaine at the first store sells garments made by her Alpaca wool and local products. The winery is hosted by Pat who is passionate in wine making. He imports (grape) juice from Italy and make different wines from fruity to dry in the store. Wine tasting is very great experience for me during stay. I would definitely recommend this place.
