A serene wooded home base from which to explore the area
10.0Snacks available all day, every day, and breakfast was very good on weekends. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and quiet. The AC worked well, and standing fans were available in the closet if you like. The location is amazing for those of us who like being out in a more natural, less urban, setting. We walked over to the Pinetown covered bridge when we got there. The grounds are lush and well-tended. We didn't get to use it on this trip, but the new pool is elegant and will be a solid plus for the property.
Exceptional facilities, exceptional host, and hostess… Nothing was left unnoticed.
10.0I was traveling for a soccer tournament and had two minors with me, you could definitely tell that the proprietors were grandparents and did everything to make the younger guests feel welcome. From the early morning, breakfast set out for the early morning game to an espresso machine for guests – loved by the single mom who had to be up before six, to Whoopie pies put in the fridge and access to something not on the book booking… My boys felt spoiled. They never want to stay at a hotel again :)
