The location is peaceful / scenic and less than 2 mile from the centre of Whitby.

− You are overlooked from the rear of the property if you are outside but that isn't a real issue

Lovely cottage,& clean.Parking (a necessity for us) Private, Pretty Floral back garden. Comfy bed, & clean,new looking mattress. Lovely view at front, with seating. Swimming pool very handy.

− Need a Couple of Fans, too hot, inside cottage. Bathroom sink Problem.Plug Doesn't Work.& sink of water ran out before you'd finished using it, Every Time. If you don't want a shower. The water pressure of cold tap a nuisance, noisy, & Bursts Out, & ran over bowl onto the floor.(Will Be worse for children & us older people with hand & wrist weakness). Noisy toilet flush, heard when people up in night. Not always for a wee. Front bedroom door Very Noisy (bed time) & up in night for Loo,several times). Latch hard to use, to close,hard to strain into shut position.Latch Fitted Wrongly. A struggle for us older people,who Prefer a closed door for Privacy.Swimming Pool Showers, No Hot water. (Especially for long hair,womens). Had to go back to cottage & reshower every time we'd been. Five times. So in all 5x2 we Unnecessary showers using cottage's electricity. For Two of us women. Some costly adjustments & some tweeks needed maybe? Money is tight these days. I do understand. Thanks Ms McSweeney.

It was a lovely vottage with everything we needed for our stay.. The location by the river and close to the cinder track was perfect. The tea and coffee in tge kitchen was a nice extra.

− There was nothing that impac5ed on our stay but a shelf in the bathroom to put things on would have been useful for a longer stay. The kitchen is very compact so a chopping board that could be placed over the sink would have created a but more preparation space.

Lovely setting (when we eventually found it). The owner was very helpful giving us directions.

− The hill down to the cottage, as my husband has walking difficulties.

Fabulous location, lovely walk into Whitby. Accommodation spotless with everything you need for a short break. Would def

Location

− Some shortcomings in cleaning, ie doors dusty +++ and dusty artificial plants The postcode took us to a closed road very difficult to navigate to alternative route. Need a note on direction details re road closure on postcode address.
