2.0The price was right and the location was convenient, but that didn't compensate for the negatives.
− This was not the feeling I would have wanted from a "B&B". The pictures that are posted are nothing like what we experienced. They must have been from 10 years ago! We were greeted in the yard and walked across broken uneven bricks to come into the side entrance, through a kitchen that smelled musty and then escorted through a sitting area that was dark and uninviting We had to navigate steep narrow stairs to get to our room, which had a dirty rug on the floor. The beds were sunken in the middle and did not offer a good night's sleep. There was a moth & spider the first night & the second day a dead tick on the bed & scratching in the wall during that night! There was no key for locking the room. The bathroom, which was disgusting, was shared with another room! I was directed to heat my water up in a microwave for a cup of tea in the morning. This pantry area had 3 boxes of cat litter that was spilled over onto the floor. There was nothing cheery bright or clean about this facility. I would not have stayed except we were at a conference nearby and it was too late to make other arrangements.

Simple, quiet, private, rustic and Convenient if going to Omega for a course or workshop.
7.0Didn't have any food there, nor did I expect it. I was at a 5 day workshop at The Omega Institute, which provided 3 meals a day, so was out the door by 7:40am, and wouldn't return till after 8pm. Just needed a place to sleep and shower. The accommodations were adequate. Only met the owners the first evening I arrived. After that, never saw anyone. So, if you are looking for privacy, this is your place and it is just an easy short drive to Omega. Really convenient and quiet. Nothing fancy here.
− Being picky here, because overall no complaints about the cleanliness with the rooms. This is an old country home, but the bathroom could have used some better lighting and both room and bathroom had some spider webs and spiders. Harmless spiders. I left them alone and they left me alone. But I guess, a little more attention to detail with the cleaning. Again, this is a country home, so you are going to have spider webs and such, but some people might be turned off by this.
