I cannot fault my stay here it was the most perfect end to my two weeks in Sri Lanka. The rooms were beautifully decorated, very clean and had the most comfortable bed. Despite the private rooms, it was fairly easy to meet other solo travellers and couples at the guest house. A delicious breakfast was included everyday as well as tea/coffee etc. available at all times of day/night. There was also a lovely pool and yoga shala. The owner Helen and her son, Liam were unbelievably hospitable and made the stay even better. Super close to nice beaches and the main strip of shops as well was in walking distance or a short tuk ride. Highly recommend!

Von der ersten Minute an fühlt man sich bei Helen und Liam als wäre man zu Besuch bei Freunden. Das ganze Lotus Surf & Wellness ist ein richtiger happy place, in dem man sich sofort wohlfühlt. Das Frühstück ist ein Traum und da es an einem großen Tisch serviert wird, kommt man leicht mit anderen Gästen ins Gespräch. Der Pool ist in einem wunderschönen Garten und lädt zum verweilen ein, ein Ort an dem man einfach nur „sein“ möchte. Mit Helen und einem anderen Yoga-Lehrer (Sala) haben wir jeden Morgen Yoga mitgemacht. Es war jedes Mal ganz toll und sehr zu empfehlen! Die eigene Shala dafür im Garten ist perfekt. Leider sind wir nicht gesurft, aber auch das kann man im Hotel über Liam buchen und durch ihn professionell gecoacht werden. Zudem gibt es auch ein tolles Spa. Der Aufenthalt im Lotus war einer der schönsten unserer Reise - jeder sollte hier auf der Reise vorbeikommen und es sich gutgehen lassen. Wir haben Helen sehr ins Herz geschlossen (mit Liam hatten wir weniger Kontakt, da wir nicht gesurft sind), genauso wie die vier Hunde, die so knuddelig und lieb waren. Wir kommen auf der nächsten Reise nach Sri Lanka auf jeden Fall wieder vorbei!

Beautiful oasis in Ahangama!!

Absolutely love this little oasis. It’s close to the centre (2 min tuktuk or 15 min walk) however feels so secluded and away from the noise. Helen has truly put so much love into creating this home away from home. The whole place is gorgeous, the rooms are spacious and decorated beautifully, breakfast is amazing!!!! Highly recommend if you are a solo traveller - breakfast is shared and brings everyone together so easily. Plus it’s delicious!!! The staff are so friendly also. The dogs are the best (I loved having them greet me every time I came home). I could go on and on!

The property was lovely, about a 5 min walk to the main road where you can easily walk to a couple of restaurants and beach or catch a tuktuk. The pool was fantastic to cool down and a great peaceful haven. The breakfast was the highlight! Amazing food served family style, a great way to meet other guests :)
