Some issues but a good location for a budget self catering stay

- Great location for Arsenale vaparetto and blue line Alilaguna boat from airport - 2 mins from waterfront for stunning Venice views. Tourist boats leave from here to Burano etc - Lovely walk to San Marco, we also enjoyed heading north to explore quieter areas, walked everywhere. - Via Garibaldi nearby for decent restaurants and Co-op - Compact budget apartment, cheaper than nearby tourist class hotels when we checked (booked fairly late and prices were high in October). We wanted the specific location to be near to our son who is living nearby. As staying for 8 nights we also wanted a kitchen and sitting area. -Clean bedding, decent quality, comfy bed (near to king size UK I would guess) -Cosy and easy access through your own door direct into apartment with one key provided. - Felt safe with very sturdy secure door and bars on the windows, quiet at night. - Large fridge with freezer section, washer (no washing tabs provided), drier, toaster, kettle, washing up liquid, 2 toilet rolls, 4 mini body wash, one roll of kitchen paper. Small bins with only one liner provided. - Kitchen cupboard were modern and loved the drying rack above the sink - Oven, hob, cups, plates, glasses, pots and pans, utensils, a coffee pot (no machine seen) - Table (a bit wobbly) and 4 chairs really nice to have vs a hotel room - comfy sofa, smart tv with apps (didn't manage to find any channels not in apps but just used youtube, netflix etc on own login) - ironing board, iron and broom - good wifi - need to bring wash tabs, bin bags (or small carrier bags for regular removal of rubbish from apartment), wash cloth, shopping bag, shampoo, conditioner etc

− - Communication from Venice villas was done by automated bot. We never got a reply from a real person. Prior to the stay I asked what size the bed was and nobody replied. - Once there we saw there was mould/staining on the grout in the bottom of the shower and on the shower curtain and shower hose. - We also like to drink wine and there was only one wine glass - messaged the whatsapp number given and got 2 automated replies saying the host had been notified but nothing further happened. We were there 8 nights so would have been nice to have had a clean shower and another wine glass! - On arrival you communicate with an automated bot which sends you arrival details. It sent messages multiple times. We then got messages telling us we were checking out 'tomorrow' when we were still there for 4 more days. - A little worrying to only get the lockbox code when you actually arrive at the apartment and not beforehand from a bot - Also have to upload your passport and credit card details onto external site - Apartment is fine for a few nights but it is dark and hot inside. We opened windows as much as possible to air the place when we were in. You have to have lights on all the time. There is an air con unit in the bedroom but think it is just recirculating as seemed more like a fan and the temperature was always over 23 on the thermostat (we turned off the underfloor heating). - minor things like no baking tray, no dustpan (so you can't sweep up very easily), ants come in if you leave a tiny crumb on floor so need to keep it swept. An old used dishcloth was left by the sink which isn't very appealing, kettle had limescale.. just attention to detail. - Have to take larger rubbish bags offsite along a few alleys (3 mins walk) between 7-9am which was a bit of a pain to make sure you didn't miss it. - I know it's not a hotel but the shower mould wasn't good.

− Bár számítottam rá (és mindent megtettek hogy segítsenek a helyzeten), nagyon-nagyon érezni a dohos szagot. Valamennyire segített a helyzeten, hogy egész napra nyitva hagytuk a nappaliban az ablakot. A hálószobai klíma nincs kivezetve, így már csak azt vettem észre, hogy folyik a kondenzvíz. A kanapén lévő takarót le kellett vegyem, mert körömdarabok voltak rajta. Az ebédlő üvegszékén morzsák maradtak, nem lett letakarítva.

The location was the best. Very close to the Arsenale vaporetto stop but far enough away for the business of the main tourist areas. It was so close to the tourist areas and gave easy access to Murano, Burano, Lido, the bus and train stations via the vaporetto network. We loved having a washer and a drier. So glad I brought sone washing powder with. The sleeper couch was useful when open to use for our big bags. The aircon kept the place cool. The security was amazing. Very secure door and windows. Loved having a little kitchen.

− I wish there was a coffee machine and directions or recommendations to a reasonable supermarket close by. Not having a person to meet and greet and ask questions was not great. We love meeting owners/managers who are locals and can give you good local info. Doing everything via WhatsApp and letting yoyrself in with a key in a lockbox was impersonal. Would be nice to have a welcoming coffee. No basics in the kitchen except salt and some olive oil and some old ground coffee in the bottom of a tin. No ice water in the fridge. There is a filter jug. Should have been filled and left in the fridge.

Ubicación y decoración

− Aire acondicionado con fuga , había que poner un cubo para no mojar el suelo , con un ruido que no dejaba dormir . Lo notificamos e indicaron mandarían a alguien para solventarlo , nadie llegó 😡
