Wyjątkowe miejsce na spokojny czas z rodziną
10.0Piękne miejsce. Przykro było wyjechać... gdyby nie z góry ustalony plan podróży - zostalibyśmy dłużej. POLECAMY bardzo. Właściciele kontaktowi, serdecznie i zaangażowani.
very pleasant stay in clean well presented accommodation
9.0We really enjoyed a relaxed and peaceful stay in this property. Contact with owners was very good and prompt and responsive. The property was clean and clutter-free (a particular plus for me). It was on the final row of properties so was not overlooked at the rear and had a wooded area around 4 metres away which had various birds. It has fairly recently been refurbished and has calm, neutral colouring and coordinating furnishing. Things worked well. We really appreciated the ceiling mounted fan in the main bedroom - such a boon this week with temperatures well in excess of 30 degrees. (I've looked into the design online with a view to purchasing as it was very effective.) The rear bedroom with bunk beds also had a free-standing fan which was effective. If we visit the south Pembrokeshire coast again, the three of us would be likely to rebook.
Easter mini-break
9.0Location was fantastic, beach amazing, coastal path is a treat and the house was clean and tidy. Jack's restaurant was nice on site too, all good.
− Bird feeder had been chewed through by the cheeky squirrels, which having witnessed the mischievous animals is probably inevitable, but our little boy wanted to feed the birds and couldn't. Recommend checking & replacing the feeder regularly to avoid disappointment. Honestly that's the only negative.
Good apart from the Weather!
8.0The chalet is about 600 yards from the sandy and picturesque Freshwater East beach and is on the very edge of a holiday village - so that it backs on to woodland and is therefore not overlooked at the rear. There are some great cliff walks and sea-views nearby. The accommodation is comfortable and well-equipped. The king-sized bed in the main room was supportive and comfortable. It was very peaceful whilst we were there. There is a pub with a basic restaurant 500 yards away and at least two other more up-market gastro-pubs within 3 miles. Dan, the joint-owner, was available on WhatsApp to answer questions and to sort out any problems. The local information provided by the owners (online and, to a leser extent, in print) was useful and fairly comprehensive. The wi-fi provision was fine for our needs. There was a reserved parking space right outside the house. We would certainly be happy to come back, preferably in less rainy week.
− The weather whilst we were there ... but this was hardly the owners' fault! When we arrived the fire sensor was bleeping regularly but this was only because we happened to arrive just as the back-up battery was beginning to expire: the problem was quickly sorted out by the owner who had a new 9v battery delivered by Amazon the next day. We would have liked more detailed written instructions about how to operate some of the household equipment, particularly the induction hob and the smart TV, and also what could and couldn't be put into the recycling. Storage space was limited - not a problem for us (being just a couple) as we could also make of use the 2nd bunk-bedroom but we guess that this might be an issue for a party of 4 or 5. (This is not a criticism of the owners or of their furnishings, just an unavoidable feature of the compact size and architectral dsign of the chalet). Mobile phone reception for both my partner and I (on O2 and Vodaphone) was almost zero.
This property does not accommodate bachelor(ette) or similar parties.
