Private quiet and cozy room perfect for a long weekend

The property felt like having a really nice hotel room without being in a hotel. While cozy, the room was really comfortable, and the location was fantastic. Just a few blocks from the beach and close to restaurants and great places to have brunch. It was also very clean and modern and had everything I needed to spend a long weekend in Brighton.

- rustige buurt - dichtbij het strand - leuk terrasje voor de deur - goede douche en voldoende handdoeken - vlotte communicatie met de gastvrouw - dicht bij de flat hebben wij lekker en betaalbaar gegeten bij Brighton Curry

− - Er hing een vreemde geur in de flat, waarschijnlijk van geursprays of chemische reinigingsproducten. Dat vond ik niet fijn. Het raam moest erg lang open staan voor die geur weg trok. - De flat is erg klein, op Booking wordt het omschreven als een 'appartement met 1 slaapkamer' maar eigenlijk is het een slaapkamer met een kleine kitchenette in. - Er is een klaptafel met slechts één stoel, dus als je met twee wil ontbijten moet je een stoel van het terras nemen of iemand moet op bed zitten. Dat zou opgelost kunnen worden door de 'grote' stoel te vervangen door twee krukjes. - Geen mogelijkheid om je bagage te stockeren voor of na vertrek. - Ligging: redelijk ver van het centrum om steeds alles te voet te doen; maar er is wel een bushalte vlakbij.

We stayed here on a very hot weekend but due to the property being at basement level it was cool and comfortable. The bed was comfy and place was very clean. The location was a short walk from the sea front with a variety of things to do including mini golf, the electric railway and the cinema. There was a Lidl 10 minutes walk away and lots of pubs, restaurants and cafes nearby for food. It was about 30 minutes walk from the train station but plenty of buses or uber/taxis available instead. Having a fridge and some basic kitchen equipment was handy. The host sent a lot of information prior to check in regarding the key-box and the property and had excellent communication when I asked anything.

− Whilst the communication from the host was detailed - it was sometimes too much. I think there were some automatic messages but sometimes I got these repeated 3 or 4 times! Getting so many notifications from the Booking .com app got a bit annoying. Sending a ’you are leaving soon’ message 24 hours before check out when we only were staying 2 nights also seemed a bit early and unnecessary. I felt I’d only just got there! I understand they may have had people not leave the property in a good state before but there must have been 3 different messages (including one on the wall) to remind me to take the bin out before I left, which seemed a bit much!
