Lovely building but totally let down with basics, as in cleanliness and basic equipment.

Lovely property and well situated for our needs.

− War Horse - one dinner plate (2people), no scouter sponge or drainer. Most light bulbs not working so very gloomy. Red Rum - oven filthy/greasy so had to be cleaned before use (had to improvise as no cleaning equipment). Jet bath filthy. Switched on and jetted out a load of black crap - had to use shower instead. Some light bulbs not working. Toiletries not as specified

Lovely location, rolling hills, quiet and relaxed. Very hot needed a few fans or air-conditioning. Needed to be cleaner and spider free.

Fantastic location for a restful day or 2 away. Beautiful surroundings and plenty to do nearby but also nicely remote for the peace & quiet.

− Didn't like that week haven't been in the autumn/winter. Got the feeling it could be even better then.

Very disappointing, it could be very nice if some effort was put in!

Apartment was ok with rustic features. kitchen fairly well equipped.

− Several things were broken, radiator hanging off the wall and tiles missing in the bathroom. The heating was on despite an English heatwave! Asked for a highchair but it didn't arrive. watered down soap and only one toilet roll for 3 adults for 3 days! The court yard is a disgrace, there is no excuse for wooden furniture that needs an application of teak oil, dirty plastic plants outside and a chess set that has seen better days. We were lead to believe there was access to a hot tub and a small basic shop - no shut thing! The whole place looks like it is closed for the winter rather than being clean, bright and open for the summer.

Dreamlike unfortunately with touches of lack lustre reality.

Location and overall exterior presentation was great. Setting tranquil and dreamlike especially the addition of random wandering peacocks on site.

− Interior fixtures and fittings need updating and a bit more tlc provided. Trims of bathroom and kitchen loose or missing and drawers in bedrooms not functioning.

Loved the inside space and the flag stone floors. Nice sized beds and quiet atmosphere. Washer drier amd dish washer was a nice touch too. Freedom to walk around the lower grounds and look at the big house . Any interaction with staff was positive and phone calls prior to arrival were supportive and helpful.

− Could have been more for the kids to do but I am being picky here. Taught my eldest girl chess moves which was fun for her. (Positive) Somehow I found it confusing not finding the key code number for the door key box in the communication but that was resolved prior to arrival by getting in touch prior to arriving and it did not hinder our getting into the property. Again, being very picky here as these points are the only negatives during a most excellent venue and stay.
