Stunning riverside location
9.0This was my second stay and I will come again! The location is perfect - right in the riverfront and very close to the town and quay and so lovely to sit outside watching the boats and paddleboarders go by. The accommodation had everything we needed for a pleasant and comfortable stay for four. We appreciated the goodies left in the welcome basket and the hosts were very friendly and helpful. Christchurch is pretty with lots to see and do in the area - walks, boat trips, shops, pubs, restaurants and tearooms. We enjoyed eating at the Boathouse and a trip to Hengisbury Head. Recommended!
Views and location were fabulous BUT the quality of the lodge’s fittings and facilities were poor.

− Peeling paint on tiles in bathroom Shower was tiny and the shower head didn’t fit the unit - ridiculous Gas hob no instructions Fridge wobbled when opened/closed Barbecue located at front of property not in the garden Garden furniture dirty Gate needed to be lifted to open and close Great deal of rubbish at the side of the property
Great long weekend break and would definitely come back.
10.0Exceptional view and very peaceful. Great location within easy walking distance to town with loads of restaurants. Beaches just 10 minutes away. Also used the sauna and cold plunge next door which was a great added bonus of the stay.

Fabulous location
8.0The hosts were lovely, and communication was great all the way through. The location is amazing, overlooking the estuary, with a view of the Isle of Wight, and really close to town and lovely walks up the river. It was really nice watching the boats and SUPs go by. The town is a pretty 10 min walk along the river path, and passed the quay the other way along the river is plenty to see. Well equipped kitchen, easy parking, and a really quiet area, as it is inside the boat yard.
− The bathroom is ready for a spruce up, with peeling paint over tiles. And it is quite pricey for the quirks of an older static caravan.

9.0Beautifully set by the river, very peaceful and tranquil with lovely views across the river with the boats moored up and beyond. Within walking distance to a nice restaurant - the Boat house and the town of Christchurch. Lovely walk along the river into Christchurch.
− The key box was very tricky to open, it needs a service. A less practical-minded person would not have been able to open the key box.

9.0Great location and amount of space in the property. Really nice to be able to use facilities like the sauna and inflatable kayak or paddle boards. Easy to check in and out and smooth stay
− Small finishing touches like shower head not supported properly in holder a downside but would stay again
