Lots to say. First of all, the homestay room is consistent with the photos, functional and clean. The food served is good and affordable.

− However, the room is not insulated from noise, and there is often noise, between motorcycles and cars, and noise in the morning, with people talking very loudly, probably the owners, which is very disturbing for anyone wishing to sleep after 6:30 a.m. You even have the right to karaoke every evening, extremely noisy and very unpleasant for the ears. The same for the sun, the curtains are present, but useless, the light really shines through… Then, we had a mishap with the owners who were dishonest with us. We arrived in the evening on the island of Samosir, around 6:30 p.m., we called our hotel because it had not replied to our messages on booking to find out the route to their homestay. On the phone, we end up having it and the manager tells us to cancel the night, that we will be reimbursed and that we can therefore book another hotel night. But the next day, surprise, supposedly the refund cannot be made. We made an exceptional request on Booking, which agreed to make an exception for our request. The hotel must accept it, but did not, despite the fact that we talked with them for a good hour. In short, we were scammed one night, so we did not appreciate this behavior. We understand that you want to make money, but don't overdo it by lying openly in front of us. I'm not sure that Westerners will be able to enjoy this homestay! Finally, there is no hot water as indicated.
