They provided a fan in the room, which was nice. Self check-in was easy

− The bathroom is across the hall from the room, which means that every time you want to use the toilet or shower, you have to leave the room and lock it then unlock the bathroom. I felt very uncomfortable as a solo traveler having to go into a dark common space in the middle of the night to use the bathroom. This is not indicated in the listing in any way. Also, the bathroom window had no cover or film on the glass for privacy when you showered - the neighbors could definitely see you if they were looking and you could not control whether the bathroom light was on so I felt like I was on display - I ended up using my towel to hang over the window to block it. The location is far from the old town and on a busy street (though to be fair this is clear from the posting, so not their fault), but the local bus system was easy to use once I downloaded the fairtiq app to pay for rides

Nice overall with some annoying issues

Good amount of space, great location. Great dishwasher. The check-in and check-out were seamless. It was very clean.

− We were under the impression that this place would give us the free transportation guest card for Feldkirch but it does not. It was a complicated back-and-forth process with the host figuring out how it works and then realizing that the host is not part of the scheme. The host did not even realize he isn't part of it and kept directing us to the tourism centre in town to give it to us, which was incorrect (we called the tourism centre and they said our host was mistaken), so this was frustrating. It would be better for this to be stated outright somewhere on the listing and for the host to be familiar with the local programs and their rules. The other issue was that there was no fan. Thankfully, the room being half-underground made it so that the summer heat wave wasn't unbearable but it was still quite warm during the day. It was also inconvenient to open the windows, since the room is right next to the main road and opening the windows meant a lot of noise from traffic. A fan would have been much appreciated. A small thing, but it is quite strange to have very thick duvet blankets during the summer. We had to strip the covers from the duvets and put the duvets to the side in order to be able to sleep without overheating. Finally, there was an issue with the door to the apartment building not working for most of the time we were there. My partner got locked out of the place and thankfully another guest was around to let him in. We appreciate that the host came as soon as we notified him of this problem to drill out the old key holder. But this also meant that the door to the building was left unlocked the entire time thereafter. It didn't feel particularly unsafe because there was also the locked door to our own room, but something to note.
