3.0The location.
− Needs some serious TLC and updates. While rustic Mexican can be very charming and we actually prefer it over the “modern” look, this place had broken and dilapidated things at every turn. There was no staff at the front counter after checkout to answer questions, offer recommendations, or address concerns. Our credit card had already been charged for the full amount before we even arrived, not a hold as is usual. I actually forgot this place even had a pool, we were never given instructions for where to find the pool upon check-in, only given our keys and told that our room was upstairs. My husband had to spend 15 minutes standing on a chair trying to fix the roll-up blind that was stuck up so we could have any privacy, (the neighbor’s window was directly across only a couple feet away). The shower sprayed everywhere except where you needed. The mattress was very firm, which would probably be fine if you’re exclusively a back sleeper, but for anyone else was very uncomfortable. I do not understand how this place could ever be considered “excellent” as the rating on Booking suggests. It was fine at best. Would not stay here again, nor recommend.
