Cute, cozy, comfortable cabin!

We ate breakfast in town at Homestead Inn, which was delicious and a good value. The cabin did not have a breakfast service. This cabin is just off the main street but still very much in the heart of the town. All businesses are within walking distance. All mattresses were comfortable. We used the laundry facilities in our cabin.

− I wished there was a teapot, but I made do with a cooking pan.

We had a great time here.

Very comfortable accommodation.

− Nothing really. We just had some issues to find the accommodation. The address didn’t lead us to the right place.

Good cabin. Communication and organization of host could be improved.

I liked the cabin overall. Appreciated the washer/dryer at the end of our trip. Heater worked well to warm up the place. Location is fantastic. The cottonwood floaties throughout the town were cool to me. Steps away from a Mckinley viewpoint, and we did see the peak. Beds upstairs super comfortable but a lot of light comes through the cabin, so just be aware of that.

− No communication from the host once in Talkeetna. Text and wrote him on booking.com. No response. At close to midnight while we were sleeping, someone came in our cabin which was very unnerving. Luckily, the sofa bed was blocking the door and no one could officially enter. As it turns out, the host gave both of us the same code which only worked on one of the two cabins. So he double booked us, it seems?? No response at all from the host the entire time. Again, tried texting and writing on booking.com. Big fail. Apparently, he did respond to the guests that barged into our room though and gave them the other cabin. After we left Alaska, he finally responded to the text saying, "you need anything?" Smh. Oh, you'll need to cover the door window with one of the blankets due to light coming in. There is a good bit of light in this cabin coming through. Bring an eyemask.

It was cute, private, and so close to town. Absolutely perfect location.

− There were no blackout curtains/blinds, and one window didn’t have any curtains/blinds at all. With the sun being out 24 hours, it was really bright and difficult to sleep. It’s also not possible to use the front door if anyone is sleeping on the the sofa bed.

Cute cabin in the middle of Talkeetna offers a very comfortable stay.

The beds were soooo comfortable! The cabin was adorable.

− I have a background in building construction, so I noticed things most people would not. The builder cut corners on finishing of the cabin.
