8.0This was a cute little garage conversion, very clean inside and it made a lovely change from hotel rooms. Location was perfect for Watkins Glen and Seneca Lake both within walking distance. Although the hosts were remote they were friendly and helpful in their messages.
− Quite near a Main Street which was quite noisy early morning.

Disappointing. Don't be fooled by the pictures they show.
3.0− The conditions are horrible. This property has not been updated or maintained. Everything about the property is cheap. The mattress is the type you buy at a bargain outlet. Sheets were worn and old. Just the overall feel was very poor. For the price they charge you expect them to fix things and clean properly. One other concern is that the property owners are not around. When we arrived we called the contact number and it was not answered. We got a call back an hour later from a different number and it was a friend of the owner to give us the code to get in. When I returned the call it sounded like I was calling another country and it took a while for the person to answer. Never did speak to the host directly. This is definitely an investment property for someone.

7.0It was clean and a great location. Street parking right in front of the small studio worked fine. The furnishings were comfortable, but no luggage racks so nowhere to put a suitcase.
− Listing called this a one bedroom house with fireplace. It is a studio not a house. There is not a fireplace as claimed. It was unclear to us whether or not if the patio was for our use or not. Looking out the window there appeared to be a campfire propane table but it looked like a private patio for owners so I don't know if the propane was there or not. I wish there had been at least one luggage rack, 2 would be better, and some hanging shelves in the bathroom so there would be a place to set a toothbrush. They need some hooks or more than one towel bar.
