9.0The pictures do not do this place justice! The views were incredible from every room! The house is old and unique, each room has its own bathroom. There's a somewhat private beach, life jackets, kayaks and a paddleboard. Lots of room for 15 people! The back patio with the barbecue and hot tub was wonderful!
− The hottub was quite dirty when we arrived. The recycling and garbage outside was very full (which maybe couldn't be helped?) and there was a stinky wet load of sheets in the laundry. Underneath a lot of the furniture was very dusty/dirty. Almost felt like the cleaning staff didn't get enough time to finish their tasks? The beds are VERY soft. (Personal dislike, some may like it) The very top room has an incredibly steep set of stairs (sing bed and double bed up there) it is not suitable for anyone with any type of balance or mobility issues.
Beautiful location but needs an upgrade.
6.0Beautiful location and setting. The host was friendly and accommodating answered all my questions before our stay. Three of the rooms had comfortable beds and beautiful views. The hot tub was great, as was the beach. The kayaks and paddle board were an amazing and much-appreciated perk.
− The interior was clean, but the exterior spaces were very grimy and not well taken care of. The floors on the inside were very sticky to the touch, like the cleaning product had not been rinsed off properly after cleaning. The attic bedroom is not suitable for adults (very short bed with a paper-thin mattress) and should definitely not be advertised as such. The coach house bed is also very uncomfortable with a huge uncovered skylight that means you have to wake up with the sun and never have full darkness for proper sleep. The showers in most rooms are small with almost no space to turn around or wash properly. There were no sponges, cloths, or tea towels available in the kitchen to use for washing dishes or cleaning the counters. We had to buy our own until we later discovered some cleaning supplies in the extremely cluttered laundry room. The dryer and washing machine were also full so we could not use them.
