7.0The location was great, with beautiful views and plenty of parking space. The living room and kitchen were spacious, well-equipped, and very comfortable, making it a great place to relax and spend time together.
− While the location, surroundings, and overall concept of the site were excellent, there were several issues with the accommodation itself. The first disappointment was that the caravan we were given was different from the one shown on the website when booking. When we contacted the receptionist, we were told that booking a 3-bedroom caravan only guarantees a 3-bedroom caravan, not a specific unit. While I understand this policy, I found it quite misleading, as the caravan advertised was much larger and situated directly by the lake, whereas the one we received was not. Cleanliness was also a concern. There was dog hair throughout the carpets, and the caravan had an unpleasant smell. As we were staying with two young children, this was particularly disappointing. I tried using the vacuum cleaner, but it had such a strong odour that it actually made the smell worse and was unusable. Some of the pillows and duvets also had an unpleasant smell, as though they had not been properly refreshed between guests. The property was also lacking some basic supplies. There was not enough toilet paper, kitchen roll, or washing-up liquid for our stay, and there was no hand soap, shampoo, or body wash provided. The location itself is fantastic, with plenty to see and do nearby, and the setting is beautiful. However, the experience would have been much better if the accommodation had been cleaned and maintained to a higher standard.
