9.0Wij hebben 4 dagen in Maskeliya doorgebracht bij Derersh Home Stay en hebben daar een uitstekende tijd gehad. Super lekker gegeten zowel ontbijt als avondeten. De gastheer, vrouw en kinderen zijn heel gastvrij en behulpzaam. Een klein balcon van waar je heerlijk in het groen kijkt met een kabbelend riviertje. De omgeving is prachtig met al die theeplantages. Verder in de omgeving kun je: wandelen, de Gartmore Falls bezoeken, Adem's Peak beklimmen, thee fabrieken en de oude hidoe tempel bezoeken De plaats Maskeliya biedt geen luxe maar wel levendigheid, waar heel aardige mensen wonen.

Quaint, comfortable homestay great for Sri Pada
10.0This has been one of my favourite stays in Sri Lanka. Daresh and his family were such warm hosts and helped me with transfers for my Sri Pada visit and plans for my onward travel. Maskeliya is a small but pretty town and a good jump off point for Sri Pada. The rooms so clean and comfortable in a tranquil little spot. Best water pressure I’ve had so far and the home cooked breakfast and dinner were superb. Best Dahl I’ve had in Sri Lanka so far! Thank you again for your attentive hospitality and lovely stay!
