Disappointed! Misrepresented as a Loft with a Flare. First Floor Store Front Unit

− Lack of Amenities and Noisy First Floor unit Location misrepresented as a “Loft”. We had high expectations for this property advertised as a “Loft” with modern flare. It began with the unit’s touchpad lock being totally inoperable. (Dead batteries) We had to leave our possessions in an unsecured room; inconvenience #1 owner was made aware of and responded by asking for pictures of lock. The unit’s HVAC was set to “cooling” on a cold day. There were no instructions on how to set the mode to “heat” and no reply after messaging the owner. Just a response asking for a picture of the thermostat (which was a round digital disk; no mode indicator.) Inconvenience #2 owner made aware of. Next, the TV remote was also inoperable due to dead batteries. Had to take ones from another remote to turn on the TV. Turns out it was not connected to any cable service, just a wifi connection to Samsung plus station. Again, no instructions on how to access any other services. Also, not all the buttons worked properly on the remote. Inconvenience #3. Let’s move to amenities; which were minimal. No coffee for the Keurig provided, nothing inviting about the unit, no decor to speak of. Maybe because we’re seniors we expected a little more for the money. In summary: $800 was an absurd amount to pay for a complete disappointment of a rental to spend New Year’s Eve. And I have yet to receive any return correspondence regarding some sort of refund requested for this poor experience we had to endure. Pitiful and unprofessional in my opinion.
