Very peaceful place sat under the stars of a night

Not the best place to go in the really hot weather as the pod to hot inside having said that it would be ideal for the autumn were ya could have a fire pit going

Perfect location!

Location was perfect! Bed was really comfortable and the facilities clean. You should not it’s a porta loo but we didn’t mind that as we knew. There is a little walk up the hill but worth it for the views. I’ll be coming back again! Highly recommend

Lovely comfortable bed and peaceful stay.

Just as advertised, I booked the lakeside, the lake was probably more of a large pond than an actual lake but that's fine. It's not a swimming lake as the cattle do paddle in it on one side of the fence, also ducks and geese use it. The pod was clean and bed really comfortable. It has lights and a USB, although I couldn't get it to work so maybe bring a power bank if you need connection. There's a decking and outside table and two chairs. The owner brought me some firewood and I had a bottle of wine and some picnic snacks just listening to the birdsong and totally relaxing. The compost toilet was functional and clean actually, it was shared with people further down in the Bell Tent but they were far enough away for privacy and there was also a small porta potty in a shed attached to the pod for my sole use. I slept amazingly well and woke to birdsong and sunrise, the views across the valley are amazing. For those less able to hike the hill up to the pod there seemed to be a similar pod option in the farm garden, although it is a working farm so I can't say if there's a morning Cockerel call or not, I didn't hear anything up the hill. I absolutely would return just for the peaceful feeling I got. I might try the bell tent next time although closer to the water means more flies so maybe not. The Farmer said I could walk through the forest opposite, but would have to walk through his cow field so I opted to stay put and drink my wine, it is a working farm so loads of sheep roaming freely and the by product of said sheep on the ground, meaning any vision of roaming barefoot through the Welsh meadows needs to be checked in at the gate :-) . If I'm in the area again I'd definitely rebook. There is also apparently a room with a hot tub, more expensive but I may check that out.

It's a bit of a hike up to the pod for this aging, unfit body but I managed it. I'd say anyone with mobility issues maybe ask for a lower situated Pod. It's 15 mins from town down a single car wide farm track so drive with caution. In Llangollen there are all shops and supermarkets etc so pick everything you need before you drive up. Beware you have to park at the bottom in the farm yard so don't over purchase like I did then almost died on the way up carrying it all, the owner offer to help me which I was very grateful for ! Manage your expectations on the pod, it's cheap , No shower / washing facilities, but wet wipes and a bottle of water worked find for 1 night.
