8.0The location was great with a lovely view of the lake.
− It needs some TLC, with marks on the walls as you can tell it’s a well used property.
Tekapo village was very busy for Matariki celebrations so it was absolutely humming - a great atmosphere.
6.0It was walking distance to town even in the very cold weather. Lovely views.
− There were a number of light bulbs not working, the rubbish bins outside were overflowing & the concrete floor was really cold. When we arrived the only thing working was the air conditioning unit. We didn’t realise the fridge was turned off, luckily we weren’t staying long & could use the ice outside. There was no kindling so we couldn’t light the fire. The underfloor heating only worked in the back end of the house & only became evident late in the evening. We felt this was very expensive accommodation on the basis of so many things not working.
10/10 best stay I’ve had in New Zealand. Was a real treat to end my trip here.
10.0The property was much bigger and nicer than the pictures and the view of the lake was beautiful. The host was so accommodating and very prompt in responding. Will absolutely be recommending to friends and family who are travelling to lake tekapo.
− The host may want to consider installing a door in the shower as some water escapes the shower area into the bathroom.

An absolutely breathtaking view, and very cosy house on top of the hill!

− I wish there was a clothes dryer! Maybe a few more amenities would be good!
