9.0An absolutely amazing place to stay,we stayed for the weekend with our parents, children and grandchild and everyone loved it,spent a lot of the time in the lovely garden (and hot tub)very relaxing. Just a minutes walk from the middle of a beautiful village,we'd definitely book again when we're in that area again.
− Only little niggle was that the fride/freezer wasn't working properly but that certainly didn't spoil the weekend
Tracy and Ben were wonderful. Very responsive and super happy to help. The palace itself was full of little quirks and f
8.0Fabulous historic building with lots of quirks and charm. Nice comfy beds. Hot tub was great (but sadly didn’t heat up fully until our last day). Dog friendly and lots of interesting Nicnaks and board games. Beautiful fire places and grounds and Ben and Tracy were so kind in helping us and also very sweet in helping make the stay for my Dads bday special. Thank you
− Sadly the fridge was very temperamental and whilst did intermittently cool, it was not consistent so we were concerned our food would spoil. Such a huge place is hard to clean and there were some impressive cowwebs, not that that bothered us too much but might bother some. Some attention to detail in the kitchen from previous guests was needed (eg. Foodbin, milk frother, airfrier, dish washer filter which could have done with a clean). A little shabby chic in areas which comes with an older property, but overall was a lovely stay in a beautiful historic house.
A fabulous and historic place to stay that made our weekend special.
9.0It’s absolutely beautiful - an incredible home, with character and a warmth we loved. Very special.
A magical stay!
10.0⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Magical Stay Our experience at this beautiful old palace was absolutely unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, we felt transported back in time — surrounded by history, elegance, and charm. The architecture is stunning, every corner telling a story of the past, yet the comfort and service are top-notch Ben and Tracey were amazing hosts, attentive, and genuinely passionate. Could not of asked for better hosts. Even sending a simple message the next day to check in was truly lovely. Highly recommended for anyone looking to blend luxury with history. We can’t wait to return!
