Absolutely beautiful inside and out. Little seating area outside very nice and relaxing too. High spec with everything you could need with lovely thought I’ll little extras. Spotlessly clean and was in a Lovely surrounding area.

In general, everything was excellent. It was great to have a proper bed to sleep on in the living room instead of a couch, although I appreciate that won't be relevant to all guests. The place was easy enough to find and was comfortable and quiet except for birds chirping. Parking was convenient. It was a great option to stay near Edinburgh without paying Edinburgh prices. Magda was quick to respond. Finally, I always like being able to get keys from a lockbox instead of worrying about whether or not the host will actually show up to let me in, so I was glad there was a lockbox here and check-in was very fast and smooth.

− A long list of chores to do before checking out. Taking out rubbish and doing dishes are fair enough, I think, but stripping the beds is time-consuming and, given that we are paying a considerable amount of money to stay, shouldn't be the responsibility of the guests. The bedding on my bed smelled somewhat musty, although the place was spotlessly clean aside from that. Information about check-in, e.g. the lockbox code, was also promised before arrival and I had to ask for it the night before since it hadn't arrived, but Magda did respond very promptly and with plenty of detail when I did ask.

Great house in quiet village

The host Magda, greeted us shortly after we arrived and then proceeded to bring toys, a high chair and show us where kids toys and books were hiding in the house. The house was like new, warm and with everything we needed, plus a few extra little touches that made it homely (diffuser and reading light in the bedroom) The location was great, a short drive from Edinburgh and in a quiet little village. Magda also provided some great recommendations of what we could do in the area.

Location is great if you come with car. If you depends on bus it's not so great. House was nice and clean, bus station for Edinburgh is located near the house, but driving with bus was very long. Host Magda respondes on every question in minutes.

− List to do before checking out is little strange and long to do especially if you have to be at airport at 7 am. Nowhere is indicated that final cleaning isn't included in price, which wasn't small. Bathroom is a bit outdated with bathtub so high you have to be very careful when go out. Shower cabin would be much more convenient. And beds are story for themselves. Bed in master bedroom is short and narrow. And beds in other bedroom are with old and uncomfortable mattress, I couldn't sleep well and have pain in my back now.
