6.0The bed was comfortable, and the shower was good too.
− There was not enough space to put anything in the bathroom. In the room there was no wardrobe and only two drawers for 2 people. Also the breakfast basket should have had savoury, salty biscuits. Everything was sweet. The floor was squeaky and kind of loose

5.0Being in the centre of Coggeshall and being able to explore on foot.
− Dining room supervisor telling me their menu was based on couples and sharing dishes. Therefore, I could not be accommodate as single diner, even at 6.30pm when there was only 1 couple in the dining room. I was also told the same would apply on my 2nd night, but possibly I could be accommodated on the Saturday lunch time. I had plans for then, so didn't test the offer of a "definite maybe". However, I found the White Heart, Coggeshall to be very welcoming, the staff friendly and helpful and the food and service were very good. I was also disappointed that the only parking facilities were curbside parking at the front of Noble Goose despite Booking.com stating "parking available".
Could have been exceptional but due to unforeseen was a disaster - the cozy room was excellent
4.0the room i had booked was exceptional , however due to a power cut i was moved to a smaller box room - which in the current heat wave was not very desirable
− As mentioned above my room had a power cut which resulted in no power , the staff tried to help but were unable to locate the fuse box - i tried as well to help The emergency number to call was not taking calls and despite a message i never got an answer !! I was moved to room if a lesser quality and have yet to receive a reply from the them despite emailing them to provide a conclusion to the issue before posting this review - However i have had no reply to-date . Whilst the staff were apologetic i was hoping that the disruption and room change would have been subject to reimbursement
Excellent location, clean with comfy bed but disappointed by breakfast and minor maintenance issues.
6.0Location was great in centre of the village. Room was clean and bed comfy Small fridge (but full with breakfast items) Guy in Restaurant who checked us in was very good and helped with bags.
− The breakfast was poor as it was a make your own breakfast which wasn't made clear ie two pots of dried porridge for making up with water, some muffins, greek yoghurt, orange juice etc. Could they make an arrangement with a local pub or cafe and just provide a voucher for elsewhere?? We went out to a local cafe and bought breakfast in the end. The bathroom could have done with a bit of minor maintenance - hinge on one side of toilet seat broken, sink plug didn't work and had been left out of sink when we arrived. Couldn't get hot water out of shower and no rubber anti slip mat provided As tea, coffee and breakfast goods were put on the dressing table and other flat surfaces, not much room for using them, dressing table for example. Quite noisy when guests coming and going, probably down to age of building

This place just needs to make sure it works on the little details andsorts and sorts out the hot water.
8.0We were in Room 5. The room was lovely and the bed very comfortable. There is a mini fridge with 2 Greek yogurts, water, orange juice, fresh milk and 2 little Freddo bars. There is a coffee machine and pods, kettle and tea bags. Biscuits and muffins. Good size mugs as well. The shower is a decent pressure and a large space. Nice white towels. The hotel doesn’t have its own car park but if space you can park in the road or there is a car park opposite that you pay for. The staff we dealt with were great. There is also a lovely garden area to sit in where you can have a drink. We didn’t eat in the restaurant but it looked very good.
− What let the place down for us was that in the morning the water in the shower was luke warm. The brackets on the toilet seat were not clean and rusty. On the wooden stand that holds the mini fridge and acts as an open hanging space there was a fan (great) but it was very dusty. Also behind the stand the carpet and skirting board were very dusty. Just little attention to details missing.
