Amazing host, beautiful location, & lovely room!

Our stay at Taste of Freedom exceeded our expectations. Our room was very comfortable and clean, and we loved the location being so close to the beach. Our host Cheryl was the best host you could ever ask for. She was so helpful with anything we needed. This was our first time visiting St. Vincent, and she took so much care of us (helping us find taxi drivers, booking with group tours, dinner plans, etc). Her hospitality was beyond welcoming and you can tell she really cares for her guests. We cannot thank her enough for all of her help and being there for us with anything we needed. Would 100% recommend this place to anybody that is looking for a place in St. Vincent.

I have visited 66 countries (lived in a couple) and the people are among the friendliest, most civil and courteous in my experience. Met people passing on the street or beach who wave or say hello or ask how I enjoy the island, without being intrusive. Staff were exceptional -- treated me like family. Cheryl, Roy and Chad could not be more hospitable or accommodating. Located within a 100 steps of black sand beach but 15 min driving distance to bank and supermarket. Cheryl and Chad offered to take me with them when they went grocery shopping, adjacent a bank. Cheryl with her friend also graciously invited me on a day excursion to nearby Bequia Island via ferry. The suite accommodation is only 2 years old, well appointed and tropically decorated. Dual 110 V / 220 V electrical outlets throughout. Rained only at night for my 2 weeks in Feb 26. I came just to swing on the hammock strung between the palms on Brighton Beach.

− Only TV (with 50+ stations including HBO) is in the large bedroom, which could use a chair. If you like Island music, you will enjoy Freedom. Staff took the first week to train them that guests do not always appreciate staff's "good" taste. Pool parties on week ends enjoy loud music starting about 2 / 3 PM, but Cheryl shuts it down by 7:30 PM, and the party is over and gone by 8 PM.

Our first stay in SVG and it was perfect!

This was the most beautiful place to stay. Our first trip to SVG and we could not have picked a better place. Sheryl and her family are wonderful hosts with so much local information and recommendations. Just steps from what we considered the best beach on SVG. Our rooms were perfect and so comfortable. Did not lack for anything. Beautiful pool area and parking available if you choose to have your own car.

The location is excellent, 1 minute away from Brighton beach (the best beach on the island if you ask me). Roy, Cheryl and Chad made sure our stay was comfortable and felt we could ask for anything we needed. Spacious rooms with air con, basic facilities to cook our own food. It felt like we had our own villa, the children felt safe and could use the pool whenever they felt like it. 100% would recommend and stay again.

− I have nothing bad to say about Taste of freedom. It really is fantastic. If you want to explore the island, go into kingstown etc; be prepared for a long walk uphill for a bus, or hire your own vehicle. We spoke to Cherly who introduced us to a Taxi driver (Stallion, Mr Prescott). He was super reliable, and went above and beyond for the 2 weeks we stayed. He was almost our personal driver due to my mums disability.

Peaceful and very friendly and hospitable folks. Helps to have a car if you want to save time but hosts are there to sort out what you are missing.

Lovely place in beautiful surroundings

Lovely place close to the beach, in a quiet area. Very well equipped room, friendly and helpful owners and staff, and great breakfast. The only minor disadvantage is that there are no restaurants nearby, except for the beach bar (which can make fish and chips or chicken and chips on request). So if you don't have a car, you would need to walk back up the hill towards the main road, or get a taxi or lift. But the relatively remote location means it's really quiet, and the beach is lovely. A great place to stay for longer, or just on the way to and from the airport. Highly recommended!
