Exceptional
10.0Awesome vibes, best place I stayed in Santa Ana! Met an awesome group of travellers there, meant to stay a day and ended up staying a week. Pupusa class was what first drew me there and that was great if a little crowded but I stayed for the excellent vibes.

10.0I loved my stay at Casa Coco! The local owners were extremely friendly, and the pupusa cooking class was so much fun! Would highly recommend! The well equipped kitchen was also a big plus!

Super Cute and Chill Family-Run Hostel
10.0stayed here as solo female traveler for 4 nights over New Year's eve in the 4-bed dorm and really loved it - super small family run hostel with only about 12 beds. There was a big shelf space in the dorm to put your backpack, curtains, a light in your bed, a fan, outlets, and small shelf. I didn't get to enjoy the (now) $15 USD pupusa classes at night or the NYE family dinner (my plans didn't align), but that means I will have to come back! Alex and his family were wonderful: so many QR codes for information such as where to eat, where to catch the buses from, what will be closed around the holidays, etc. My cousins visited from staying @ another hotel and they said the Casa Coco staff was more helpful and knowledgable than their own hotel!! There is a communal kitchen to use, with strong wifi and tons of places to sit, chill, relax. I love how there is a courtyard out back plus a terraza upstairs in front. After certain hours you must use your key to get in, which I appreciated the extra layer of security. We did the volcano hike & lago coatepeque from here with Hanssel, ~$23 USD pp, with transport included. The fee was basically to be our chaffeur all day which was cool because we ended up taking our time and didn't get home until 7pm! I would stay here again. You can also pay for your stay with credit card but there is a small fee added on.
− some say the 4-bed dorm gets super hot unless you are in the upper bunk right next to the window, but I have a high heat tolerance. Every bed has its own fan though.
