Pleasant, comfortable accomodation with excellent breakfast, close to Old Town Mombasa.
9.0Pleasant, comfortable hotel near old town Mombasa and Fort Jesus. Breakfast was quite good with lots of options. Staff were very helpful and accommodating. Comfortable beds, quiet room. Our room overlooked the street but we had no issues with noise. The hotel restaurant and room service options were reasonably priced and were probably quite good; however, we opted to be adventurous and ate a late evening meal at a small street-side kiosk about a block away. Good grilled meat and chapati for a super low price. A short walk to old town, which we took the next morning. The street life can look chaotic, but walking though the narrow streets of old town is quite interesting and, I believe, safe. The Swahili's are pleasant and not pushy at all, unlike some touristed areas of Kenya.
− The only complaint I might have is that we were hoping to watch the World Cup game that evening and the TV reception was quite limited.
