A great stay in a large house with wonderful views
10.0The location is magnificent. The view from the living room and the terrace is unbeatable. There were 5 rooms across 2 floors with 3 bathrooms, all with showers. Only one of the rooms had twin beds, but even though our reservation was for 7 people, all rooms were open, so all our solo travellers had their own bed. The kitchen is nicely equipped. The host was very responsive to all our messages, and helpful with advice. The beach is really close for surfing. The house also really close to a well equipped store and a lovely bar to go out at night. The restaurants on that side of the city were also really good. Famara isn't large, so you can easily walk to the other side in a couple of minutes, but it was still nice to have such a good choice of food and drinks close to the house.
− While doing the mandatory online check in there was a point about the average age of all travelers having to be above 30. We were all 29, and the accommodation didn't make any problems about it. They just wanted us not to party, which I understand. But it caught us by surprise as we didn't see anything like that on Booking.com, so it left us uncertain until we got an answer from the host. They said we will get beach and shower towels, but they considered a one large towel to serve both purposes. We don't usually mix those, but they had more towels across all rooms and didn't make a fuss of us using those as well. Just keep in mind to carry at least a small towel for your shower towel if feel the same. The terrace was windy, so we enjoyed it for short spans of time. But nothing against the accommodation, that's just weather in Famara :)
