Lavender Residence is a hidden gem. It’s very new, modern and spacious. The beds and pillows are super comfy. We stayed for 2 nights after getting off our dive boat and prior to our flight so for us the location was perfect. We easily walked from where our dive boat dropped us off, and In a pinch you could also walk the 2km to the airport. The kitchen was much appreciated since we were there during Ramadan and restaurants were closed during the day. We were also allowed to check in a bit early which was very helpful. Pro-tip: if you’re coming from a dive boat, get them to drop you off at Feydhoo rather than the airport. It’s a 5-10 minute walk from the drop off point and easily found using Google Maps.

I arranged a pick up with the host and they offered a really reasonable price for the transfer, it also made check in very easy. They were kind enough to take me to the grocery store as well and were very kind and helpful, I felt I got an insight into island life through them. The place has a very comfortable bed (i was in the smaller of the 2 rooms and the 2nd room was locked), good shower, plenty of storage space in the bedroom. Everything was spotless. The washing machine, fridge etc were so handy as I was there during Ramadan so only 1 restaurant was open before 6pm on the whole island. Lots of space in the living room/kitchen area.

− The place is spacious and really lovely, there was air con in the bedroom I was in (I assume there was also one in the bedroom I didn't use), however, in the large living area and kitchen, there are 3 fans but no AC and it was extremely hot. As its a large area one AC unit would help bring the temperature down over time and make a big difference but ideally 2 in the area would be more suitable. Woth this one change it would be a 10/10 stay. Possibly a few more basics in the kitchen but not necessary unless you're there during Ramadan or have special dietary needs.

Very clean, everything I needed for a 2 night stay, Shana was so helpful, picked me up from the airport, offered to get me grocery’s if I needed any, very friendly family run guest house

Very spacious, comfortable and clean. Beds big and comfortable had a great sleep. Very quiet and well located. Just a short walk to waterfront, ferry terminal and cafes. The hosts were lovely they really looked after us. Picked us up from the airport and dropped us to our pickup point for our boat trip. We were a family group of 4 staying one night in Gan before starting our liveaboard dive trip. Thoroughly recommend to stay here! Thank you so much for a very enjoyable stay.
