De ligging van het verblijf is het geweldig! Het uitzicht is overweldigend. Het huisje zelf, wij hadden de Deluxe Room, was prachtig ingericht. Het bed was heel comfortabel, er was een zitplekje buiten, een bureau, een bad, douche, rek om kleding op te halen. Er waren overal dieren (daar moet je dus wel van houden!) en dat was heel gezellig. Ook het eten dat werd gemaakt (ook al was het heel weinig), was heel erg lekker. Het personeel was super vriendelijk, ook al was hun Engels minimaal. Het is een super mooie plek voor een unieke ervaring op Sumba! Ik zou wel maximaal 2 nachtjes aanraden.

− Ik had geen bereik bij de accommodatie en er was ook geen WiFi, dus daar moet je wel rekening mee houden. Ook is het geen 'hotel', dus je kamer wordt niet schoongemaakt, bed niet opgemaakt tussendoor, etc. De communicatie vooraf met het verblijf was niet heel goed en ook tijdens is moeilijk omdat er weinig Engels wordt gesproken. Er zijn meerdere honden, dus dat moet je niet vervelend vinden! Die komen namelijk de hele tijd aanwaaien (vond ik heel gezellig). De badkamer is ook geheel open, dus houdt ook daar rekening mee! Het eten dat werd gemaakt was heel erg lekker, maar wel heel minimaal qua hoeveelheid en variatie. Neem dus zelf voldoende snacks of drinken mee, want ook dat is er niet echt behalve water. Het is super afgelegen, dus je moet het durven om met een scooter te rijden en anders alles me een driver doen!

Local food, views, only nature and agricultural sounds and of course the animals (horses, dogs who were next to me the whole time and birds who make that place what it is). Overall its an exotic experience ;) I was a bit of scared as there is not even a door on the room and I was solo but i made piece and managed to fall asleep very well, and when Alfie jumped in 5:30 am (the cutest German Shepard) and woke me up and stayed next to me I was so happy 😍

− The place is located really in the secluded area and the road to there is very rocky, uphill and bumpy. Unless you have a very good scooter skills or don’t have a local driver then its quite hard to get in and off the house.

It is a beautiful set up

− The property is away from every possible human interaction. Beware that you will have insects, birds and reptiles cohabiting your bungalow. Hence you must be comfortable with excrements on your floor when you wake up, for example. The staff is not particularly inclined to work, so you need to ask and insist in anything you might need a few times.

We had a wonderful stay — the staff were warm and welcoming, and the authentic food they prepared was the best we had. Surrounded by beautiful views and nature, everything was clean, well-kept, and enhanced by the locally made soaps and products that smelled incredible.
