Wat een mooie plek om tot rust te komen, mensen te leren kennen, en op je eigen tempo de natuur te verkennen! Het verblijf is eenvoudig maar geheel passend bij de ervaring. Ik ben het niet eens met de recensies die zeggen dat het verblijf veel te duur is voor wat je krijgt. Je betaalt voor een authentieke ervaring, niet voor luxe. Je leert op deze plek hoe het is om te wonen in een drijvend vissersdorp. Ik werd heel hartelijk onthaald door de hosts en de andere gasten. Je zit samen op een drijvend vlot waardoor je elkaar snel leert kennen. Ik reisde alleen maar heb me geen moment alleen gevoeld! Dat komt mede door de gezamenlijke avondmaaltijd die wederom simpel maar authentiek is. Na het eten hebben we een spelletje gespeeld en werd en nog gezwommen. Met de kayaks kun je zelf op avontuur gaan om de bay te ontdekken. Als je een dagtour op de boot wilt doen (750.000 VND) raad ik je aan om minimaal 2 nachten te verblijven omdat er na terugkomst geen vervoer meer is vanaf het hoofd eiland naar het vaste land.

− Niks! Beeld je geen extreem luxe verblijf in, maar een authentieke en sociale ervaring met medereizigers. Alles wat je nodig hebt is aanwezig en de hosts doen erg hun best om je op je gemak te laten voelen. Als je niet open staat voor lokaal eten, een authentiek verblijf in een vissersdorp, of sociaal contact raad ik dit verblijf af. De reis naar de accommodatie is niet eenvoudig, maar met hulp van de host (via whatsapp) is het prima te doen. De host is altijd bereikbaar en kan de juiste bus en boot voor je regelen van/naar Hanoi of Ninh binh.

I am so glad I decided to stay here! I spent a lot of time researching how to best visit the bay - I decided on Lan Ha Bay over Halong as I read a lot of negative views of the overtourism etc. and decided on this over a cruise or staying on Cat Ba - hoping for a relaxing and unique experience. It truly surpassed expectations - the homestay and view is just absolutely stunning and paddleboarding/kayaking/swimming off the dock any time of day on our own schedule was just so lovely. It was quiet and peaceful and the host family were so lovely and helpful and the other travellers staying there we met over dinner and breaksfast were all really lovely and interesting people. We did a private boat tour of the Bay which was nice but honestly preferred our time on the homestay! The owner (available by WhatsApp) was very helpful with organising transfers, etc. Also - we loved eating on the homestay as part of the experience but we went to Cat Ba for lunch when we were out for the day on the boat tour - they are very happy to help accommodate anything we wanted and were very relaxed!

Kind and great hosts but litter in the water and beaches in the area are disappointing

We loved the food, our host is an amazing cook. The homestay was in the bay and this made it have calm waters.

− There is a lot of plastic floating around in the water that unfortunately takes away from the beautiful scenery.

Le personnel est très sympathique . Tout est très bien organisé. Ils viennent vœu SC chercher au port et vous ramènent Les repas sont incroyables su dîner au petit-déjeuner Séjour au milieu de la baie. Fabuleux
