3.0I'm afraid there was very little that we found nice. Things we liked - Tv was great Bed was comfy
− Things we didn't like - Very difficult to find the room, what I assume was the office building looked derelict, I could hear voices but nobody about. Doors were locked. No phone signal in the area, had to go back to town to call for directions Very few towels - 2 bath, 1 hand, 1 mat Only 3 pillows on one bed The bathroom trash bid was full from the previous guest !!! No coffee maker (my fault, I should have read that) No iron (my fault also) No disposable cup in the bathroom Wardrobe doors look like they're falling off and don't close Only 1 coat hanger in wardrobe - i guess the last person left this Nice tissue box - but it was empty Large mat on floor looks very dirty No side light in lounge area - choice of very bright lights or dark View from window was non existent - 2 big trees 12 inches from window, how do you clean them Entrance very dilapidated Pathways very poor, with holes and rot Felt like we were the only guests We definitely won't be back or be recommending
Was hoping for luxury, but got mediocre.
5.0Windham is a nice little town if you are looking for a remote stay and opportunity to disconnect. However, I was disappointed with the property. This is advertised as a luxury stay, but it is absolutely not that. The grounds are bare and messy and there is no one around to guide you. We tried to figure out where the "private movie theater" was and couldn't, and when we asked, we realized it was in a dark basement which felt creepy. The saunas that were outside of the rooms were next to cluttered/messy sheds, which made us not want to use them. When we checked in to our room, it was dark and cold with no view. The hot tub was broken, so they gave us a free upgrade. The next room was nicer and did have a working hot tub, but the hot tub was dirty and we didn't feel comfortable using it for long. the rooms were nice, but there were large ants everywhere. The facilities person came and sprayed, but the spray they used gave me a terrible headache and did not get rid of the ants. The ants were even in the shower.
− This was listed as a luxury rental but it was not. The grounds were bare and empty. The hot tub was dirty (and the first hot tub didn't even work). There were ants everywhere. The towel hangers in the bathroom were falling off the wall.
We just wanted a weekend to de-stress, have some time along together
10.0it was beautiful, in the mountains, near shops, restaurants and of course skiing
− Difficulty getting food delivered, no cell service away from where we stayed, took over 2 hours to get food from door-dash
Enjoyed the hot tub and nature, but the noise and cleanliness made the stay frustrating.
6.0The only thing I really enjoyed during my stay was sitting in the hot tub and enjoying the surrounding nature. Everything else about the hotel didn’t stand out or meet expectations. If you’re looking for a relaxing soak in nature, it’s fine, but beyond that, there isn’t much to recommend.
− The property wasn’t as clean as I expected given the price I paid. There was constant noise, especially on the first floor of the Madison Suite where I stayed. Maintenance and other staff were loud, which made it difficult to sleep, and I had to make multiple complaints during my stay.
A beautiful and relaxing mountain getaway with great views and a peaceful atmosphere.
10.0We had a wonderful stay! The location is beautiful and very peaceful, surrounded by nature and trees. The room was clean, modern, and very cozy with amazing large windows and great views. We also really appreciated that the staff upgraded us to a bigger suite — that was a very kind gesture and made our stay even more special. The atmosphere was perfect for relaxing and disconnecting from everyday stress.
