The house is large, comfortable and spotlessly clean. Four huge bedrooms and three huge bathrooms!. Loads of toiletries and cleaning materials were supplied plus all the catering equipment you could possibly need. The village is quiet and beautiful with a great restaurant steps away from the house. Beaches of Moajacar only 10 minutes drive. The owners are lovely, friendly and extremely helpful.

− It was a shame that someone in the village allowed their dog to mess right outside the house on a couple of occasions, extremely unpleasant but not the owners fault.

Mountain Haven

A short 15 minute drive to Mojacar Playa, yet a world away in terms of peace and tranquility. El Sopalmo is a mountain haven with fantastastic vista for those seeking a break from the treadmill of life. It may not have the neon lights or crowds of the Mojacar Playa strip but it is a gem for walking and cycling enthusiasts and for those who just want to chill away from the madding crowd. All of the above is complemented by very helpful and welcoming hosts who are readily on hand with good advice and support.

Lovely villa for a relaxing stress free break in a traditional Spanish setting

Property is in a beautiful location with lovely views. Good size rooms and all the facilities needed for a comfortable relaxing stay. The outside space is great with a lovely pool, Charcoal BBQ area and seating and dining areas. There is a very nice small bar restaurant very close by ( only open during the day while we were there 🙁) The local walks up and down the mountains are great but can be a bit challenging in the heat so best tackled early in the day. Our hosts Chris and Claire were great with lots of good communication to make sure our stay way relaxed and trouble free with plenty of advice on the local areas.

− Our only negative comment would be the lack of Air conditioning in the bedrooms, only one of the four has it installed, the others rely on fans which is maybe something that should be clarified in the facilities description on booking.com

Lovely house let down by not having sufficient heating and a tv that works.

Location quiet.

− Air conditioning didn’t work even after landlord played about with it. No hot air. House was freezing upstairs and needs heating installed there. Television was temperamental and pretty much a nightmare. We gave up with it!
