7.0There are so many things that make this hotel great. Staff are welcoming and lovely; the owner made it a mission to say good morning to all his guests at breakfast. The breakfast food was delicious and I love that it’s à la carte not buffet, to try and support sustainability. The facilities are outstanding; pools were great. Perfect views. Although some people Found getting to and from the hotel frustrating based on recent reviews, we found it therapeutic to go up via the “lift”.
− There were a few things that’s really stopped this hotel from being perfect. 1) the location of the toilet - it’s essentially right next to the shower with no screen so when you shower it gets it wet. Just didn’t seem overly hygienic! 2) the spa; do NOT get a massage there. I asked for a deep tissue and the woman basically painted me in oil and just stroked my body. She tried to pull my arm and hurt me. She then scratched my head and I had to walk out when she dumped half a pot of warm oil in my hair, which took a long time to wash out. However, the owner of the hotel was very apologetic and didn’t make me pay. But I definitely think the spa needs training.
