I loved my time in the Hideout a perfect summer break
9.0Fabulous location and view, lovely deck area and very easy to spend time in the Hideout, am coming back in September.
− Not quite as clean as I would expect but didn’t spoil the holiday. Also no windows for overnight.

8.0Beautifully presented place. Lovely views and location. Great deck.
− Not enough shelf space in bathroom and tiny sink. (Heads up no shampoo or body wash.) Uncomfortable sofa.
On the whole I enjoyed my stay there and benefitted from the peace and quiet.
8.0The large terrace was the draw for me and it was perfect. The shower was also very good and easy to operate. I loved the view of the estuary and the sheltered privacy of the terrace. The agent responded pretty quickly to my one call and the owner arrived promptly to sort out my problem. I have booked to go back later in the year and know what I need to bring with me.
− There was no window that could be opened so had to leave the terrace door wedged open overnight. There was no rubbish bag in the kitchen bin so had to make do with the one I'd brought for my laundry as I had no intention of going out during my stay.
Lovely accommodation for a short stay
7.0Convenient location with parking. Views were great. Perfect for short stay
− Cooking was limited - would have preferred oven to fancy coffee machine and milk frother.
Late anniversary trip.
9.0Lovely little hideout as per the name, well laid out, had everything we needed for a long weekend. Heating would have been nice for the mornings, other than the bathroom towel rail, there was no other heating. Lovely garden terrace, enclosed and sheltered to enjoy the sunshine.
− An unpleasant smell of damp and the cleaning could have been better, cobwebs and we would have liked to have used the garden furniture as it was a warm Sunday afternoon, however the seagulls mess was so stuck on the glass, we did not have the means to clean it off. Regardless of weather, should have been wiped over and a cover placed over it.
Perfect peaceful retreat yet with everything close by.
9.0Fantastic location within easy walk of town centre with beautiful estuary view. There is plenty of space and a gorgeous shower room. So helpful to be able to book for a just a couple of nights too.
− Parking at the property is on a tight bend on a steep hill but most properties are in Salcombe... instructions suggested driving past, turning around and then driving in but if you pull past the property coming down the hill it's easier to reverse into the driveway and then much safer to drive out again. Plenty of space to manoeuvre and park my Freelander.
