Excellent Stay at Villa Artemis II

Villa Artemis II is an excellent, high quality 3 bedroom villa nestled in the hills a short walk (5 mins) from the delightful sleepy village and marina of Zman. Tomislav is an excellent & thoughtful host who went out of his way to make our stay smooth & comfortable with excellent attention to detail (water, a few beers, homemade olive oil etc all provided free of charge on arrival is a nice touch many other hosts forget). Tomi grew up on on Dugi Otok, so has an excellent understanding of the island showing us the best beach (Veli Zal) and even a secret off road bay. Overall Dugi Otok is a wonderful quiet & serene island which is our favourite so far on our travels to Croatia (and we've been to a good few of the more famous ones - Brac, Vis, Hvar, Korcula, Pag etc) The villa is new and immaculately clean, built with a good eye for minimal design. There are plans for Artemis III which will create a mini 'Zman Hills' above the village. Although not shown on maps as a 'beach' we actually loved the local bay the best place we found for swimming anywhere on the island as it is on the East side of Dugi Otok and sheltered from the open Adriatic as well as being protected by natural break waters, so usually very flat & calm with a very long (100 metre x 50 Metre) clear swimming area marked by buoys away from the boats. The villa pool is also nice and fun for kids. There is a friendly local shop and three places to eat (2 Konoba's, 1 Burger bar) + one cafe / ice cream spot which are all very handy. There are quite a few fancy villas already and more being built so Zman definitely looks like a place 'on the up'. We don't often go back to the same place twice but actually we would most definitely return to Zman & Villa Artemis. You will not be disappointed to book.

We had a truly enjoyable stay at this villa. The house is spacious, modern, and beautifully designed, with great attention to detail. Everything was spotlessly clean and very well maintained. It’s fully equipped with everything you might need for a comfortable holiday, and the view from the property is stunning. The location is peaceful and ideal for relaxing, yet still convenient for exploring the island. The hosts were very kind and welcoming, which made our stay even more pleasant. We would be happy to return and can warmly recommend this villa.

Sehr schönes Haus mit sehr viel Stil eingerichtet. Pool, schönes Ambiente.

− Leider fehlen die Mückengitter, sodass man entweder drinnen mit Klimaanlage sitzt oder sich draussen den Mücken exponiert.

Wir hatten einen absolut perfekten Aufenthalt in dieser traumhaften Villa auf der wunderschönen Insel Dugi Otok! Die Unterkunft lässt wirklich keine Wünsche offen – alles war sehr sauber, modern eingerichtet und hervorragend ausgestattet. Besonders hervorheben möchten wir den tollen Pool, der für pure Entspannung gesorgt hat. Die Gastgeber waren unglaublich engagiert, herzlich und jederzeit hilfsbereit – man hat sich sofort willkommen gefühlt. Dank ihrer Tipps konnten wir die Insel noch besser entdecken und genießen. Wir können diese Villa uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen und freuen uns schon jetzt auf unseren nächsten Aufenthalt!

Everything was perfect. We loved the pool. The beds were super comfy. The host was helpfull and welcoming. Everything was clean and brand new.
