Logement atypique avec piscine. Décoration très soignée. L'hotesse nous a proposé en urgence un petit déjeuner car nous avions payé pour mais ce n' est pas une prestation normalement prévu

Stunning architecture and interior design. Beautiful cool evening swimming with floodlit jungle backdrop. Our host Ellie was very welcoming and friendly.

It was beautiful, very clean, tranquil, peaceful and allows you to switch off very easy. Host was such a good soul too

villa is spacious; good view of forest; had pool [though small]; some attractive carved woodwork; plenty of seating options

− villa is open to the outside through carved fretwork/woodwork so mosquitoes etc. can enter - no screening in many open places... no mosquito nets [they have to be ordered in advance, apparently, who knew]; all this is very off-putting to someone who is prone to being bitten....we were given chemical any-bug sprays... & there were numerous strong-smelling chemical air fresheners [which didn't of course work] scattered around the place. inc. in kitchen cupboards and drawers...which combined to give a strange dank unpleasant artificial odour. All these chemicals at odds with green-preaching Rule Book. Big bathtub in 1 bathroom but hot water ran cold after hardly covering the bottom of the tub; no shaving or any other kind of mirror over basin in 2nd bathroom, which was rather dark, as was the villa in general. I saw that the owner in another review answered the writer that living with gecko droppings was part of living in Bali & I am inclined to agree with that... but it's off-putting to open a big drawer to find an enticing pile of white towels.... but sprinkled with droppings. This villa in the Rule Book is described as luxurious & the word exquisite also appeared, & the place certainly could be, but needs a lot of TLC and better cleaning.... communication with the owner during our stay was by WhatsApp; the villa is run by a local couple who are very pleasant but can't make certain decisions; for example they offered a no-alternatives breakfast of fried rice, bread & jam [which sure, we could have toasted, as the kitchen is equipped for general cooking], fruit and packet fruit juice, & that seemed to be the standard offer; which I didn't think measured up to the 'luxurious' tag [we did manage to change the packet juice to freshly-squeezed]. There are various badly-fitting and hard to open/close internal & external doors/windows, so we didn't feel 100% safe, esp. at night.

Las dos villas son muy bonitas, el personal es muy atento y servicial ! Piscinas muy bonitas frente al rio !

− Suciedad a nivel general, cocina sobretodo, baño exterior, habitaciones … falta estar mas encima del alojamiento. Personal de limpieza cualificado. El acceso es muy complicado en coche, pasos muy estrechos. El acceso desde la calle hasta la villa es una bajada larga de escaleras. Si llevas mucho equipaje no va a ser de muy buen gusto y cuidado para estancias con familiares ancianos.

The owner was friendly and explained the facilities in detail. The villa itself was very spacious, and the pool was beautiful and spacious, a necessary facility in Bali, where temperatures are high. There was also a river flowing in front of the villa, and many birds in the trees. You could hear the birds singing and the river flowing, and it was a very quiet and natural place. The building itself is made of bamboo, and it looks especially magical at night. I would definitely stay here again if I come to Bali again.
