Basic not luxury! Rude host! Completely overpriced! AVOID!
1.0The animals and stream were fun for the kids. It was in a picturesque location.
− The cabin was far from luxurious. It was ridiculously overpriced. It was unclean and the door for the bathroom was plywood with ripped wallpaper hanging off. There was no sink in the bathroom. The rugs were damp when we arrived. No bin bags are provided but you are expected to empty your bins! The attitude of host was disappointing. She was unnecessarily rude. I left 2 iPads (my fault entirely) and the host promised to post them but failed to. I drove up to collect them which took over an hour each way and she sent me to her home address only to tell me she had left them at the farm. When I was frustrated at being sent on a detour, she was unapologetic, confrontational and rude. Do not dare to criticise or complain as you will be met with a defensive response. Do not take my word for it. Read all other reviews on the host and her own replies!! They will tell you all you need to know!
Unprofessional
1.0− I’m incredibly disappointed with a recent booking I made via Booking.com. After a two-hour drive in the heat, we arrived at the property only to be told that the owner had cancelled our stay. She claimed to have "messaged us," but upon checking the Booking.com app, there was no clear communication indicating the booking had been cancelled. The only message we received was a declined check-in time, which gave no indication we were no longer welcome. When I questioned why we hadn’t been called or texted—since our contact number was provided in the booking—I was told she had called. However, there were no missed calls, and no messages on my phone. Only when we checked my husband’s phone did we find a message from 3:36pm saying Booking.com would refund us. By then, we had already arrived. No explanation prior to this, and certainly no consideration for our wasted journey. We were given a vague and unconvincing excuse about a car crash and a power outage. There was no apology whatsoever—just defensiveness and a dismissive attitude. The phone conversation quickly turned heated, with the owner resorting to name-calling and her husband shouting in the background. It was completely unprofessional and frankly shocking. There was zero regard for our time or experience, and no proactive communication despite knowing guests were scheduled to arrive. I strongly urge others to stay away from this property. The level of unprofessionalism we encountered was beyond anything we’ve experienced before.
Not a secure location
3.0Great for families with young children because they get to see all the farm animals
− Not a safe and secure location unfortunately. There was just a padlock for the barn which was missing, and whilst we were out we were burgled and our car was stolen. The owner was highly sympathetic initially and offered to refund us - but then we were just ghosted. Not a happy stay.
Beautiful views, basic accommodation
7.0The scenery was beautiful, amazing views of countryside . Animals right outside your accommodation, lovely to be up close to nature. Lots of space for children to run free. Value for money with accommodation, but if booking for 6 then the price on here is only for 4 people so you will need to pay extra. We stayed in lookout cabin, its one big room, fine for us as we were all female and family, but there isn't much privacy. It was like camping but inside a barn with some quirky decor. Having a fire pit in the evening and the animals coming to join us was a treat, a fun experience and we made the best of it as we always do. Some great memories of feeding the lambs and watching them play and frolic about carefree. Would be perfect for a family with children to stay.
− We did enjoy it and made the best of it. Very basic accommodation, not suitable for disabled or those who have difficulty walking. One big room accommodation. No sink in the bathroom so have to wash hands in kitchen sink. Take plenty of warm clothes/ blankets if staying in cooler months.
We managed to have a fab time
3.0My family loved the animals and the area all around
− The accommodation was not very nice
Very good
