− Villa Cantik is a property with potential, but prospective guests should be aware it requires a significant refresh. While the marketing photos are appealing, the villa's age is evident in-person. The bathrooms, tiling, and electronics (TV, sound system) are quite dated, and several features, like the outdoor speakers, were not functional during our stay. The high drop near pool and lack of safety barricades is a huge risk for young children (risk of dropping down from Level 1 pool to ground floor) It's also worth noting the location is remote. Food delivery from services like Gojek can take 45 minutes to an hour, so plan accordingly. For a similar price point within the same complex, I would highly recommend considering other options like the excellently maintained Villa Frangipani. Based on our experience, Villa Cantik should be considered only after exploring other available villas.

Lovely villa but stay impacted by significant building works

The villa was huge and catered for all our needs which was two families of 4. Staff were excellent and very accommodating. Villa well decorated and furnished.

− Location is quite remote and off the beaten track without a proper tarmac road in places. As such taxi’s / Grabs were refusing to collect us which was frustrating at times. Some of the villa rooms were musty and smelt quite damp - these were mainly the bedrooms on the ground floor. Given the size of the villa it clearly required a lot of upkeep - some of the bathrooms and shower heads etc were suffering from limescale and needed a proper deep clean and some of the kitchen drawers and doors were falling apart and broken but these were flagged and fixed quickly. The main issue with the villa is it is right next to a huge building site for a brand new resort. This was not made clear to us before arriving so it was deeply disappointing to find the view massively impacted (which we could have accepted) and horrific noise. Building / ground works was taking place within 10 metres of the villa boundary starting at 0730am and going on after dark until after 2100pm every night. Constant digging with pneumatic drills, trucks picking up and dumping rubble and constant beeping from trucks reversing. There was also the issue of dust blowing across from the site which the cleaners were dealing with daily. Due to the building work we were unable to relax by the pool and over our 5 night stay had to book into beach clubs to get away from the villa for some respite from the noise. To be fair a complaint was raised immediately and the team were understanding and apologetic. We did negotiate compensation (free chef dinner and small % refund), however, it didn’t equate to the disturbance and impact on our stay or the additional expense incurred from having to go out rather than relax at the villa. The owner did say they would update the booking sites to make potential customers aware of the building works which they have done, but you do have to look for it!

We love the villa design and size, spacious!! other than that we love the food and the hospitality from the begining we reserved till we leave. many thanks to all of them.

Its size, and the view

− Everything. The picture and the rating here is very misleading. The property is really dirty, sooo many bugs. The water also broken for God sake, and when we complaning they very slow respond and didnt resolve any issues

The most beautiful villa in the world, where you can spend a relaxing and fun vacation. impeccable design, superlative beauty perfect cleanliness the view is breathtaking, both in the garden of the villa and in the distance, the ocean with the sunset, during the day you can see surfers and colorful paragliders the bedrooms are huge with a very comfortable bed the common areas invite you to dream, dance and enjoy life
