Perfect stay for a day in Kimolos
9.0Cute room on the port of Kimolos. Bigger than it looked in pictures, which was a nice surprise. The property was clean and the receptionist (one guy that manages like every hotel in Kimolos) was kind and quick to help with any queries. Two steps down the street and you will be at the beach.
− Parking is on the other side of the port, but it’s a 10 minute walk slow walking so not a big issue.
Ideal overnight trip to the island. Good restaurant on the beach and lovely place to stay

4.0− Our Accommodation at Psathi Blue Beta was an unfortunate experience! Starting from the architecture, I would need to mention that the windows shown in the pictures were really up high not been able to open them and the room had a strange smell that was covered by an air freshener. Additionally the terrace that is shown in the pictures is not accessible from the room, you need to go out of the house to access the rooftop and the gigantic umbrella was never assembled, therefore the terrace could not be used. These were still the least of our problems: We did not have phone signal, internet or wifi for 2out of 6 days we stayed, thus I was unable to work. The room was not properly cleaned and one day they brought us the bedsheets wet out of the laundry machine (off course they were not ironed). To top all that, 4 out of the 6 days we stayed, we did not have water or the pressure of the water was so low that took more than an hour to be able to take a shower and rinse off (keep in mind that we had a baby of a year and a half with us). On the 4th day we understood that the water problem was the municipalities problem but still there was no rainwater butt as an alternative option, which is very common in the Cycladic islands. The most difficult part of all of the above was the lack of immediate response, information and action. The maintenance guy was the most helpful one out of the team but still you had to go through the reception that was not helpful. Since they understood that these were too many problems to face while on vacation, they were kind enough to bring us sweets and water bottles to take shower.
