Cruel hoax that booking.com is still advertising as available.

Nothing, as the apartment was already occupied by people who had been living there for a few months. The advertised contact number was answered by an angry man who said he does not have an apartment to let and is sick of people ringing about it. The preceding day we rang booking.com (after being on hold for 40 minutes+) to say we had not been sent check-in instructions, and were told to pitch up at the Crawley apartment and try to check in at 5pm next day. At which point we had to find a hotel for the 3 nights. Then spent over an hour on hold to booking.com to ask for a refund and compensation (- the latter just a credit). We are furious at how we have been misled.

− Everything, since we did not get to stay there. We feel badly mistreated and have lost trust in booking.com. We are astonished that this apartment is still being advertised to further unsuspecting clients.

The apartment was central

− No one met us on arrival after travelling 18hrs from Australia and we waited 3hrs outside the premises then had to book in to another hotel at our expense , when we were finally given the code after many messages and gained entry we had no hot water for the duration of our visit having to walk to a friends house to have a shower we were told by a owner of 2 apartments they are only a long let of 6 months or more and not short let so a illegal scam We are in our in our 70's and the stress it caused ruined our 4 days to catch up with family

Practical and good value flat in the centre of Crawley.

Fully equipped kitchen and washing machine. Good condition of the premises. Central location, close to restaurants and shops. The parquet floor is great.

− Cleaning only superficial, surfaces need dusting, washing machine door mouldy and dirt in room corners and under kitchen equipment. Some repairs needed, such as to the blind in the kitchen and sitting room above window. The dishwasher and washing machine are very noisy when working. No recycling was foreseen, there was a single bin for everything in the kitchen.

Glad it was a short stay, woken at sun rise 4am due to lack of curtains
