Great stay again at the property

− Disappointed to see the stove hadn't been repaired after reporting to the owner on my last visit a few months previous, luckily lovely weather all week so we didn't need to light it, but would be nice to see things like this rectified if we re visit.

Just what we needed to explore the area.

Very spacious, but cosy for our week-long stay. Plenty of drawers and cupboards for our clothes etc. Comfortable bed. Well-equipped kitchen. We enjoyed the log fire twice, despite it being June! Good wi-fi reception.

− We did find the TV difficult to operate. Took us two evenings to get the hang of it.

Location was good and the cottage was comfortable. It was close to a shop and the chippy so was handy for a late arrival with hungry children. They enjoyed counting the clocks.

− Parking was a bit tricky, but to be fair the description of the cottage had given instructions about alternative parking which was easy enough. Before arriving i received countless messages about various things, which got a bit silly. A couple of messages would have been more than enough.

Great stay

Great little cottage, well situated with pub, shop, play park and beautiful river within a short walk. Easy to explore Weardale, Teesdale and rural Durham from the location. The cottage is clean, comfortable and well equipped with everything you need including wifi, firestick etc, games/toys for kids also was a nice little touch. I have quite a large vehicle and had no problems with parking outside of the cottage. Highly reccomend for a relaxing, wind down break where you can switch off and watch the world go by.

Location was fine, locals were friendly

− Dog hair on chairs no tea towels for drying up and parking wasn't great
