Rude grumpy greeting
3.0Comfortable and everything needed was there.
− I had driven eight hours from Gisborne to Otaki forks and arrived missing the parking sign on the front of barn. Woman drove up beside me where I parked and the welcome was a very rude greeting. " you cant park there, didnt you read the sign" then running off and disappearing....Grumpy and unhelpful, on arrival. I am a paraplegic and couldn't get in, and it became apparent at any help was a hassle. She did come and let me in when I eventually found her. Never saw her again. Would not stay here again.

10.0I had booked the night due to the roads north of otaki being blocked all day. It was an unfundable booking. The cottage looked beautiful and I will definitely stay there in the future. When the road opened I approached Judith asking if she could please cancel without a,fee due the circumstances. This was very important to me as my mother is in a resthome in Levin. and is unwell. Judith kindly agreed to do this. And I am very grateful at her kindness and understanding. Thank you so much Judith.

Waiora La Grange Cottage is a lovely quiet retreat, but some facilities were below expectations.
8.0We loved the location and character of the unit. Very quiet and close to Otaki Forks.
− WIFI connection was very poor. LED lighting was very bright and white. A few additional softer light stands could make the place much more cosy. Limited cooking facilities and small pot sizes.
