− Lock didn’t work when arrived, but called the number and they sent out a locksmith who arrived within 30mins

The Nook is in a great location and it's a crying shame that it is in such a poor state of upkeep.

The garden

− The furniture, the poor state of cleanliness, the stairs which are illegal. Part of the booking fee was for a "deep clean" which obviously hadn't happened for a very long time. The dining room furniture is cobbled together and very uncomfortable. One of the sockets was taped up. The garden, and being next door to the Green Dragon, were the only redeeming features so take a tent and live outdoors for a week! It isn't cheap, and this place could be so much better if the owner cared for it and invested a few quid to give guests a degree of value for money. Really sad.

Nothing really, dirty, overpriced, poorly managed property

− Access is ridiculously tight for a car not mentioned, you would really struggle with an estate. We did with a saloon. The house is filthy and frankly a risk to health. Windows not cleaned for over a year. All furniture us badly soiled, you wouldn’t let your dog sit on them. Huge disgusting stains. Roof window is leaking dirt onto you while in the bath directly onto your head. The patio windows had child faeces all over from previous occupants. Electric is dangerous, old plugs and wiring. Lamps do not work and frankly dangerous, TVs don’t work. Double bed has makeshift chip board underneath mattress. All mattresses are disgusting and well soiled. Front door lock is broken, key safe is broken . Fridge and freezer is dirty and a health hazard. Bins not been emptied for weeks, resulting in a swarm of maggots all over bins outside and to welcome us every day on the porch and at the entry to the house trying to get in. Outside furniture is moss covered and in disrepair, will mark your clothing and looks like it will fall to pieces at any moment. This house is frankly dirty and a risk to your health. Neither landlord or booking.com interested in our issues. My advice even if it was free I would avoid staying here. Danger to your health and environmental health have been notified.
