Very nice
8.0Ok
− The old charm
Unfortunately Can not recommend
1.0Quaint
− Let's put it this way, this wasn't about the money or the room, etc. this was about the noise. The noise was beyond expectations. The dog yelping and barking could be heard from the front door. Even though it was 1915, no check in person or employee was present who could help or answer questions. The office was locked. It makes sense why you want to do the pre-check-in and then a code, which was supposed to start if you were checking in after nine. It's because there was no one present who works there, except your food servers, and bartender who said the band was due to start There was a lg table right in the entrance full of pp who were louder than any concert. It really doesn't matter about the room. We were there less than 5 minutes, because we were at hour 20 out of 24 driving over 2 days. NO where on your property info was a live band advertised...on Saturday or otherwise, the band had not played yet but the bartender told us would shortly. Be more transparent for guests, figure out the noise issue. We are not drinkers but was planning on eating...however we could not hear ourselves talking. The review stands. The first call was to booking and the AGENT could not hear me until I went outside. All in all, this was a huge stress for us. We are in our 70s. We're tired and hungry and we're looking forward to staying at what we felt was going to be a fun day. We ended up having to find another hotel, with few area options. The facility mentioned the bands are advertised on Facebook. We do have or use Facebook. Transparency needs to be part of the Booking feed for this facility. I would never have booked this, but was using the information available on Booking and the facilities website. After all you can only make decisions with the information you have. I do have a video of the noise level…. The facility stated they asked Booking.com to refund. “They do not have the funds”
Great experience
9.0Good service

9.0It felt like a comfortable place to be. Like a home not a hotel.
− The area is pretty bare and there was a guy in the restaurant (not an employee) that was a bit weird.

5.0− Noisy until bar closed , bed smelled like a dog
A rare gem on the Kansas prairies!
9.0Breakfast was very good. Free regular coffee if you stayed over night. Engaging staff. Rooms have lots of space. Large bathroom and walk in shower. Fried with freezer space is a bonus. Four small bottled waters were appreciated. Loved the vintage decor.
− Pillows weee a bit firm.
